Code for a Cause

This is a website where organizations, with a worthy cause, can post projects requesting the assistance of web developers and software developers. I created this tool because we are looking to upgrade Library Technology NOW. I couldn’t locate a website to make my plea so I went to ning.com to create one. I did this because ning.com allows you to clone websites. It took me about 15 minutes to set it up. If you need help, post a project. If you can offer help, let the community know.

You might also check out ning.com. Neat site!

  1. Hi,

Thanks for putting up the site, it gives me an opportunity to find extra help with my project.

As you have experience with Ning, do you think it would be usefull to use Ning for my project? For a test version, the real version, both or neither?

I've set my project (decentralized charity website with network aspects, www.makingthesite.com ) at your Code for a Cause. The site looks like it's working, but it's too early to say.

Small note: I did notice that the site couldn't handle strange symbols in text (é,ï,I'm), but I guess that's a Ning thing.

  2. I love Ning and would think it would be useful for your project. You can really dive into the code and alter it to make it to your liking.

The symbols issues is a ning.com thing. You might contact them.
